Have you always wanted to recreate fajitas from your favorite restaurant? It’s all about the flavor, RIGHT! Making your own fajita seasoning is really simple. It’s quicker than running to the store when you have the spices in the pantry and it will take you less than 5 minutes to make.
Fajita’s come from Mexican origin and refer to thin strips of meat and vegetables. As a plant based person you can easily swap out the meat and use vegetables or tofu to create thin strip to grill or saute and add to tortillas.
What do you do with fajita seasoning?
Sauté bell peppers and onions to create fajita-style vegetables to create fajitas. You can mix in some sliced mushrooms. If you are looking to switch to a plant based diet and want to recreate your favorite fajitas you can sauté your veggies with fajita seasoning and add to a corn tortilla topped with salsa and guacamole. I’m getting hungry thinking about it!
You can mix in the seasoning with rice and add in some beans for a delicious filling meal.
You can season strips of tofu that you sear in a pan to add to your taco shells or veggie bowl.
