How to make the Avocado Spread
Making avocado spread can be done in under 5 minutes. All you need is a ripe avocado, lemon or lime juice, a pinch of salt, maybe some garlic, and mash all together. And you are good to go.

Step#1: Finding the perfect avocado?
Most importantly you will need to have a ripe avocado. If the avocado is too hard and not ripe you are out of luck with making avocado spread that day... Let that avocado ripen in a few days.
The inside needs to be soft. You want to find an avocado that is on the darker side and that is slightly soft with a little bit of pressure from your hand but not mushy. If too soft or mushy, the avocado is overly ripe.
Step #2 : Cut the Avocado in half and removing the pit
Option # 1 : Knife to remove the pit.
Be careful here! With a knife, cut the avocado in half lengthwise and twist the avocado apart. On the side of the avocado with the pit, you'll want to remove carefully. With your knife, cut in the center of the pit and twist the pit out.
Option #2 : Spoon to remove the pit.
With a knife, cut the avocado in half lengthwise and twist the avocado apart. You can use a spoon instead of knife to scoop out the pit. With the spoon, gently lift under the pit and the pit should pop out.
Step #3 : Make Avocado Spread
After you successfully cut your ripe avocado in half and have removed the pit. Next, you will scoop out the inside of the avocado and add to a bowl. With a fork, mash the avocado. If you are using multiple avocados you can also use a potato masker to speed up the process. I've found a fork to work very well.
Add in the rest of the ingredients. Squeeze in some fresh lime or lemon juice and mashed garlic.
Sprinkle in a little bit of salt for taste and blend all together with a fork.

You can easily add in red onions and tomatoes to bulk up the avocado spread and turn it into a guacamole dip or spread.
Step #4 : The Toast
Make your favorite toast or bagels for the spread. My favorite is Ezekiel brand bread found in the frozen section of most grocery stores. You can also use gluten free bread, sour dough, or whatever you prefer or have on hand.
Step #5: Putting it all together to make the perfect Creamy Avocado Toast!

You have this creamy avocado spread ready to go and your bread is toasted, let's put it all together! To the toast, add a layer of avocado spread and eat as is or topped it off with sliced tomatoes, maybe sliced cucumber and sprouts. I'm literally getting hungry writing this. (My favorite way to eat this)
Any leftover avocado spread should be placed in a air tight container and refrigerated for up to 1-3 days.
