This dressing is oil free. We can make these delicious salads, loaded with all this goodness and then mess it all up with unnecessary ingredients and processed fats in store-bought salad dressings.
This recipe is really easy and you can make in less than five minutes. This is great for you especially if time is an an issue and you want to reduce fat in your diet.
Balsamic Orange Vinairette.
This takes less than 5 minutes to make and all you need is a bowl and whisk. Very Simple!
- ⅓ cup Balsamic Vinegar
- ¼ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup (liquid sweetener of choice)
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- pinch of pepper
Use a small bowl and add the balsamic vinegar and the rest of the ingredients and wisk together. Wisk until combined and store in the refrigerator.
This dressing is great to use on a simple salad or more delicate greens like a butter lettuce leaves with tomatoes and cucumbers. I like to top my salads off with some beans and/or nuts
P.S. This dressing can also be used as a marinade for roasting vegetables like potatoes or Brussel sprouts.
